Not even $500! And it’s upgraded with a Rotax 400.

There’s your RallyX machine!

Though, if you want a full suspension you may want to hold out for a Pilot.

We had two of those when I was a kid. They were beyond fun. Just great toys.

I’ve actually been eyeballing that one. Curious what still needs to be finished on it.

Haven’t seen a single Pilot for sale since I started looking.

Pilots go quick. I found one and the ad was down within an hour.

This Ody was originally for sale in East Dundee for $350 back in march if I recall. I don’t know if it’s worth it. Non runners are a big risk.

No doubt! Funny how it took a long time for that type of machine to get popular again.

As tempting as it is, I don’t think a modified and incomplete one would be best for jumping into my first one. I know jack squat about these or any ATVs of the era.

Let me know if you happen to find a pilot :)

Yeah, if that guy has as many parts as he says it should have been an easy fix.

Here’s a Challenger up by me. Little steep but I’ve seen them go for more.

If I find a decent Pilot you’ll be first to know!

Now that summer is in full swing prices are all pretty high. Even on Trikes. Machines I used snag for $500-$600 are all going for over $1000. Things should settle down around September.

That makes sense that the prices would be higher this time of year. I just sold our camper yesterday, I’m sure it would’ve gone for a lot less in September.

With my age and size, it may be a good investment for me to hold out for something with a full suspension. That Challenger looks pretty sweet. A bit out of my budget though.

I’m half tempted to buy an old beater Ranger for $600 or so, and flat tow it out to Byron.

That wouldn’t be a bad way to go either. No matter what way you go it’s going to cost.

What kind of camper? I’ve actually been looking for one lately. The place we ride at regularly out here only charges $2/day to overnight. Its a great place too. Right on the Maquoketa River. I’m going to be making a few 3 day weekends out of that.

A Ranger or similar would be safer, but a Odyssey/Pilot would be easier to tow and perhaps easier to work on.

It was a hybrid camper, a 2000 Palomino Stampede that was in generally good shape, but had a bit of water damage. I managed to sell it for $3900, which is only $700 less than I paid a little over two years ago. Plus I kept the load leveling anti-sway hitch that it came with :)
